AnswerIt appears not. From my computer, it ran for about 1 hour before crashing. All the troubleshooting I did was fruitless. I get a Age of Empires has stopped working message. It says it is caused from an APPCRASH.Answer 2:Actually, you can run Age of Empires 2 because I downloaded it two days ago, and it was working fine.
Either need more GB or its a fake CD or something that is wrong. Age of Empires 2 seems to crash a lot on Vista.
Yes.Normally you can play it.
Yes you can, I'm playing it now
yes. it is
yes age of empires 4
Yes, the back of the box says "Requires Windows XP or higher" which indicates that, since Vista is higher than XP, it can run on Vista(if it meets the other requirements).
you can if you get Windows XP Mode (not available on Home Premium), or you could try compatability mode, but i tried this and it didnt work.
Age of Empires Expansion will operate under Vista and function under Multiplayer mode with XP computers. There is an issue between Vista and XP computers due to a more sophisticated UPnP (Universal Plug & Play) on Vista. By stopping the UPnP (not Plug & Play) service and the SSDP Discovery service (Simple Service Discovery Protocol) both the XP and Vista computers will interact with Age of Empires. One can detect the problem that this resolves by using a network analyzer (such as Wireshark http://www.wireshark.org/download.html) to capture network traffic. The Vista computer will transmit packets to the WAN IP Address on the Router and the router in turn will forward them to the XP computer. The XP computer on the other hand will transmit packets directly to the Vista Computer causing the Vista computer to issue a TCP Reset Packet killing the connection. Once the UPnP & SSDP services are stopped, the packets will flow directly between the two computers. Stopping these two services, however, may interfere with other programs ability to communicate through a firewall. So the service may need to be stopped for AOE play and then restarted afterward. No you can only play AOE3 on Vista

Probably not as Ensemble Studios has stopped making games, unless they reform to make Age of Empires 4 or another company makes it.
In all three Age Of Empires, Age Of Kings and Age Of Mythology you need to advance to the fourth age (Iron, Imperial and Mythic Age) in order to have the wonder able to be constructed.
