3 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. milk, approximate
Deep fat
Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add enough milk to dry mixture to form biscuit dough consistency and mix well. Roll onto floured board about 1/2 inch thick.
Cut different shapes. Cut a hole in center of shaped dough. Fry in deep fat, turning only once and fry to golden brown. Allow one cup of flour for each three people to be served. This is authentic Indian ceremonial bread used only on great feast days.
