How do you make a African mud hut?

Answer:
Well, I would start by collecting straight tree branches or other sticks, 2" or 3" in diameter. Make your floor plan (sketch it so you don't mess up later) and then pick your building site. Each of the sticks should be however tall that you want your hut. Finally, go and dig an individual (or clumped together) hole for each stick. Place each stick next to each other, as close together as you can in the shape that you want. Then, you can lay wood on top to make a roof. Also, you will want to leave a gap (probably about 4 feet wide) in your design as a door. If you want, you can make some mud and fill the cracks between the sticks with it.
