The region codes are stored in the internal microprocessor. You'd have to find a way to re-code the operating system.

It depends on the Blu-ray player. Some Blu-ray Players are quite easy to do by entering a series of numbers from the remote control. Others need to have the chip modified inside the player itself - and others are almost impossible to do.

Search the internet for the model you have and you should find an answer for that particular one. Or, if you haven't bought it yet, find out which is an easy one to do and buy that one.

Bluray discs and players are divided into three regions. The region coding allows for discs from one region to be prevented from playing on a player from another region. The coding is a purely commercial feature and not a technical limitation.

Some content producers do not restrict playback while others do. In fact, some publishers put the restriction on a portion of their content.

A region free player will overcome the limitation although many players sold as "region free" have been modified by third parties. Some work well, others don't but none will retain their manufacturer's warranty.

As with many things relating to movies and discs, the best way is to try it and find out.
