If you bake the cake in a tin/pan with baking paper, when finished lift out the cake from the tin and let it cool down. Then cut out a nice heart shape from a piece of paper the size of the cake. Lay the heart shape on the cake and cut carefully around it.
Then you have a heart shaped cake and with beautiful pink vanilla icing on the top, you will never be able to tell you did not have a heart shaped tin to begin with!
