How do you make a robot that walks and talks like a human?

There are teams of robotics engineers that are working on this. I am currently an engineering student and it is very difficult to replicate how humans walk there are so many components that flex and move that are impossible to replicate 100%. As for the talking we need to give them AI (artificial intelegence) to think as we do.
