To insert a degrees sign / ° in anything hold down the ALT key and while doing that write on the keypad 0176 then once you let go ° will come up :D
Actually an easier way is to press the Alt key and press 0
just with 0 it will make the degree symbol. If you have an older version, use Alt+X
