  • In my opinion, there is no such thing as 'holy water'. The blessing of water, or anything else, by a 'priest' is mere superstition. 'Holiness' means the setting apart of something, usually a person, for God's use. It also means of course, sanctified, different from the world, clean, washed. Water is merely a symbol, but has no inherent holiness in itself. Real cleansing, in a spiritual manner, is asking for forgiveness from God through Christ who died for sinners. Forget the mumbo jumbo and talk to God yourself through the name of Jesus Christ, for He will listen. You do not need a priest. What does the Bible say.. 'There is one mediator between God and men, the man, Christ Jesus'.
