Heat a cup of whole milk in a saucepan over medium heat. You'll know the milk is ready when small bubbles start to form. Stir in 3 to 4 ounces of chopped Mexican chocolate and a half teaspoon of Masa Harina. Some recipes call for adding cinnamon, but Mexican chocolate already contains cinnamon. So add to taste. Stir the mixture with a whisk until the chocolate is melted and the milk comes to a boil. Add a pinch of chili powder and salt before bringing the milk down to a slow simmer until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat and stir in 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract.

It all depends on what ingredients you use.

If you use the mix, just pour the mix in a cup and then pour hot water over it and thoroughly mix it.

If you want to use cocoa, milk, and sugar, then here is one typical recipe. Heat a cup of milk per serving, and add one tablespoon of cocoa and two tablespoons of sugar. Of course, you can alter the amounts as desired.

You need 1/4 to 1/2 cup of sugar, a dash of salt (I don't usually use salt), 4 cups of milk, whipped cream or marshmallows (optional), 1/4 cup of cocoa (I like Hershey's brand), 1/3 cup hot water, and 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (this may be optional if you don't like it too sweet).

1) Stir together cocoa and sugar (and salt if you decide to use it) in a medium saucepan and then stir in water. Cook on medium heat stirring until it boils. Boil and stir for at least 2 minutes. Add milk, stir constantly and heat to appropiate serving temperature (or cool in that matter).

2) Remove from the heat and add vanilla (if desired).

Now my directions say to beat it with a whisk until foamy and then add the marshmallows, whipped cream, topping etc., but you don't have to whisk it if you don't think necessary.

Oh and this adds up to be about five 8-oz. servings.

thankx and

Easy.

You will need:

-your favorite chocolate bar

-milk

-a microwave

-a mug

-spoon

-a small bowl, but not too small (and one that is not flammable or it will burn in microwave)

-marshmallows (your choice)

First, take the chocolate bar and put it in the bowl. Then put it in the microwave for as long as it needs till it melts. HINT: never leave while the chocolate bar is in the microwave. When the chocolate melts, put to the side and get the mug. Fill it with milk and put that in the microwave for about 50 to 60 seconds. When done, pour the chocolate into the milk and stir with a spoon. If you want to add marshmallows, you can. Enjoy!

Use Cadbury's Hot Chocolate, and buy the milk version, because milk tastes much better than water. Also, use full fat milk - it makes it taste even creamier.

If you want to make a delicious hot choc, ready to drink straight away, use this:

  • Pour the milk into the mug, up to about half.
  • Place it into the microwave for 1 min.
  • When it's finished, remove from the microwave and put in 2 - 3 teaspoons of Cadbury's Hot chocolate powder (the milk version).
  • Stir until all of the powder has dissolved/dissapeared.
  • Top up with milk, and enjoy!

Hope it was useful!
