How do you make long distance relation work? |
[Edit] |
Answer
The statistics of having a successful long distance relationship (if you can't see each other at all or just once or twice a year) is extremely low. Humans need contact with each other and it's difficult having feelings for someone that you really don't know. You don't always get what you hear or see over the Internet or even through letters. People have a tendency to cover-up certain things, or, they may dramatize more than usual about their life.
If you are persistent and want to take a chance on a long distance relationship it starts over the Internet and you can either meet people through 'Friendship Clubs' or 'Couples Clubs'. You may meet someone off a board such as this one and hit it off. You generally start emailing each other and talking about your likes, dislikes and interests and perhaps exchanging pictures of each other.
If you are an adult then you could interview different 'Couple's Clubs' that set you up on dates, but be sure they have a good safety record. There are a lot of lonely people out there.
