How to you program codes in GPT universal remote control RM-788?

To program codes in a GPT universal remote control, RM-788, first you need to know the make and model of your television set. Then you find that code number on the pamphlet that came with the remote and enter it on the remote.

TV does not repnd to remote?

First off, make sure the batteries are good. If it still doesn't work and it isn't the original remote control that came with the tv, find the user's manual and re-program the remote to the tv. If it is the original remote or if you don't have the user guide, your next step would probably be to purchase a universal remote and program it to your tv (and don't throw away the user manual or programming instructions in case you may need them later).

How do I sync a TV universal remote to the TV?

The best way to use sync to a universal remote would be simple. The only thing you have to do it point the remote to the control on the TV. There should be a button on the DVD player remote that will allow you to make sync these two together.

What is the Magnavox US2-MG3S universal remote control code for a Sanyo tv?

It is the tv that has the set code. Then you need to program the remote to that. Google the manufacturer and make.

Where can I find a good universal remote?

I good place to buy a universal remote would be Future shop or Walmart. If you would rather make the purchase on the internet, I would try Ebay. I lost the remote for my cable box. I contacted my cable provider and they sent me a good one for free.

Deciding Between a Brand Name and Generic Universal Remote?

When you are deciding between a generic and brand name universal remote, make sure you keep things in perspective. After all, it is very difficult to gauge the responsiveness or "quality" of a remote and it is often impossible to tell the difference between generic and brand name remotes. Due to this, it doesn't really make a whole lot of sense to spend the extra money on a bran name universal remote for the same quality as generics offer.

Why won't your GE universal remote change the channels on your Symphonic Television?

It's hard to say. Try programming it to another set and make sure the remote works. If it does, fasten your seatbelt. There are a few "hard-headed" manufacturers who make sets that have remotes with "oddball codes" and they cannot be replaced with the universal remotes. Some Symphonic sets are like this. Buy a remote from a company that will take it back if it won't program to your set. Ask them up front about returns. Radio Shack is one such company that will take the remote back if you cannot make it work with your unit and you return it with all the stuff it came with - including the receipt. Good luck.

What are the codes for a Philips remote when you have a sanyo tv?

The codes relate to the tv set and not the remote. Google the set or sanyo and you will get the code. You then need a universal remote to programme to that code or the instructions for the Philips remote to see if that can be reprogrammed. Again Google Philips and the make.

What if you do not know the model number of your RCA universal remote?

Can you program a cox remote to work with a digital converter box?

remotes that are built for cable boxes like the cox remote is a universal remote control. although this is a universal remote, it normally will only work with cox digital converter cable boxes. therefore if the digital converter box that you want to control is from cox or motorola (or similar supported affiliate of cox) then pressing the CABLE button will control that said digital converter box. The AUX button will normally not control another digital cable box, because the manufacturer figures that the only converter STB that you will be using is theirs. thus, the CABLE button is only set for their STB. Normally to control weird or unpopular digital converter boxes - universal remotes are recommended. there are many brands, but make sure you find a learning universal remote. so in case the digital converter box code is not in the universal remote (like in the cox universal remote) then you can program it in yourself - hence the term "learning remote" i picked up a ton of these last year for christmas for everyone in my family because they were dirt cheap and most ppl watch tv. so a universal learning remote for everyone was convenient & cost efficient for the state of the economy last year. i posted a link of where i got mine from, but there are many on the market. find what you like & purchase it, but make sure its a learning universal remote.
