I got my phone in silence mode by pressing and holding the # button. But everytime i turn the screen off or on it makes an annoying click sound that is pretty loud in the middle of a quiet class. How do i turn these sounds off? i tried everything in the settings.
and also when you drag down or up in the menu it does the animations and those are super loud, anyway i can mute those too? I'm trying to make the phone as silent as possible.

change your sim card from sim2 to sim1 note the contacts in sim 1 go in opposite way to sim2 ie facing mobile. this worked for me.
