How do you open new files on a handheld or Pocket PC?

[Edit]

In the world of handhelds there are many types and styles as well as how they function. So which type you have could make a difference. Windows and Palm operating system based handhelds are little different. Then the second question is what type file are you opening. Pictures open differently than Word docs. For Windows OS based units, you can just tap the Start key and then go to programs. Scroll around the list and find the program e.g. Pocket Word , Pocket Excel , Windows Media Player or Picture Viewer. Then open the program and most programs which can edit files automatically start on a new file. When done just close it and it will save it, all you need to do is name it. Do all this and when you close the program it will actually go to the list of all your files. For exploring and opening various files you can also use File Explorer.
