Well, technically you can only plant crops if you have an EC. But here is what you do if you have one:
Click on the EC tab
Click meadow
It should show the meadows that you have for the horses in the EC
You have to lay a pasture fallow, and then you can grow crops, but you have to buy fertilizer and the certain crop that you want to grow.

∙ 12y agofirst you have to make sure they are in season then go to a meadow select it by clicking inside the box and hit the plus sign at the bottom and choose the following "use meadow for growing crops"

You have to make the mashes and to get carrot you need a meadow. Go to the store and buy a meadow and carrot seeds. Then you go to your meadows and click grow crops and plant the carrot seeds. Then you wait! :)
