The true keys are: what type of person your pulling the prank on, the element of suprise, the reaction, and how mad the person you pulled the prank on will be at you. Let's say I invited my best friend over for a lovely dinner with all my relatives, and I did the classic Whoopee cushin on her. At the end of the dinner she would yell at me and wouldn't speak to me for a long time, so for a friend do MILD pranks.
