drop your jaw so it will come out with a low sound
low pitched if it isn't obvious! The saxophone is very high pitched and it sounds like a little girl screaming at the top of her lungs but the bass saxophone is very very low it sounds like somebody is like woooooow very slowly and loudly at the same time
An alto sax can play from a low Bb to a high F/F# depending on whether or not you have the key, some don't
The most popular members of the saxophone family are the soprano, alto, tenor and baritone saxophone. The soprano is based in the key of B-flat, the alto E-flat, the tenor B-flat and the baritone E-flat. There have been other variations of the saxophone as well, including the sopranino (e-flat), bass (b-flat) contra bass (e-flat) and c melody saxophone.
For an E on the alto saxophone, you need to have your first, second, and third fingers down on your left hand, and your first and second fingers down on your right hand. If you want low E, leave it like this, if you want high E, then add the octave key.
woodwinds can range from high to low. For example flute and alto saxes are high while bass clarinet and bassoon are low. there is also alto flutes, and bass flutes, bass saxophone which are l ow also, piccolo, soprillo saxophone, oboe which are high
Drop your jaw until you hit it without it going high/squeaking.
The Piccolo, Flute, Clarinet... Well, the woodwind family can be split into two groups, High and Low. High: Piccolo, Flute, Bb Clarinet, Bb Soprano Clarinet, Eb Alto clarinet, Eb Sopranino Saxophone, Bb Soprano Saxohpone, Eb Alto saxophone, and Oboe. Low: Bb Bass Clarinet, Bb Tenor Saxophone, Eb Baritone Saxophone, Bb Bass Saxophone, Eb Contrabass Saxophone, Bassoon, and Contrabassoon. Those are all i can think of at the moment.
If you want to play a low D, you press all the 3 main buttons round the front of the saxophone and the 3 large one where your right hand goes. If you want to play a high D you do the same but with the register key. :) x
The written low Bb of an alto sax sounds a C# (or Db) in the middle of the bass clef, also know as C#3. The frequency of the note is 138.59 Hz, assuming the note is played in tune with A4 = 440Hz..
There are many different types of saxophones. DO NOT WASTE MONEY ON INSTRUMENTS FROM WALMART, ZELLERS OR PLACES SIMILAR. They have very low quality and music stores will not repair them. Yamaha makes nice student models and selmer is one of the premiums.
The written range of a saxophone usually goes from a low Bb (two spaces below the staff) to a high F (four spaces above the staff). This is sometimes expanded depending on the individual instrument, and whether or not the player can play in overtones. However, every saxophone is different in terms of concert pitch. For example, although a baritone and alto sax can read the same music, the baritone saxophone will sound an octave lower than the alto. Also, since saxophones are almost always pitched in Eb or Bb, the concert pitches are not the same as the written pitches.
