By practicing.
If you want to know the notes that are in each scale, take the major scale that starts on the same note and lower the 3rd and 6th notes by a half step.
For example, to play Ab minor:
Ab major: Ab Bb C Db Eb F G Ab
now lower 3 and 6
Ab minor: Ab Bb Cb Db Eb Fb G Ab
(Cb=B and Fb=E)
These instructions are for the harmonic minor scale, for the natural minor scale, you need to lower the 7th note, too (G->Gb).
