Best way to learn to pray is to read The Bible, go to a prayer request site, or go to a church and get instructed. But the simplest way to pray is just to say "GOD" then begin praying. By doing this you open up a conversation with GOD. Many people do not know how to pray and believe it to be more difficult then it actually is. An article that I read called "How and Why to Pray" would be a really good start for you to read, also since you are online there is a prayer request site called "GOD Please Hear Me" that allows you to post your prayers online and get others to pray for you. Prayer is really power stuff and you should start tapping into your spiritual power asap.

A very good question with many varying opinions. Here is just one:

Consider the relationship and who you are praying to. Have you proven who the true God is? No sense praying to someone/thing that doesn't exist - right? So I would start by studying the Bible to discover who God is - He makes Himself plainly known throughout the Scripture. Psalm 14:1 states very clearly that only a fool says there is no God.

Think of God as your Father - but a perfect, all knowing/powerful/loving Father. Go into a private space where there will be no interruptions. Approach your 'talk' with the Creator as a most humble, awe inspired (fear) creature. Talk to Him in your own words and not some memorized stuff. Do you talk to anyone with memorized stuff? Wouldn't be very appreciated.

Remember, He knows all things so trust in Him that His Will be done and not necessarily what you ask for. Think, if you asked for a lot of money and got it but it changed you into an evil person, do you think God should have answered your prayer? He loves each and every one of His potential children. He sent His Son, Jesus proving this (John 3:16).

As you grow in faith by hearing/reading the Scriptures (Romans 10:17), you will most likely look to repent of your past ways to have an even greater relationship with the God Family. This is a great beginning.

Remember, we may all come to our Father's throne only through Jesus Christ, our older brother. Wouldn't suggest bypassing His great stature as the Son of God and Son of Man. Enjoy your talks :)
