First, make sure you have the right sized sheet. Then if it is still slidding off try throwing the sheet in the dryer for about 20 minutes it will shrink it and make it more snug to the mattress.

If you are referring to the ones where the elastic helps to keep it in place, good luck to you! I've not seen them around for years. But, here's an idea that worked for me. I took the flat top sheet and stitched the edges directly onto those of my bottom fitted sheet. this way when the fitted sheet is in place, the top sheet is in place as well. Start at knee level stitch it all the way around the foot and up the other side to the same level. It's less expensive and worth a try!

A valance is simply a sheet that goes over the base and hangs down to cover the sides. But if you have a bed with a head and foot board, a valance is not necessary. So, if you need one, lift the mattress off the bed and place the valance over the base – it should be fitted so it will be easy to put on. -Step 3: Flip the mattress Turn the mattress over.
