You can get a print out of the time, date, and phone number of the messages. You will not be able to obtain a print out of the actual messages. The only way that a print out like that would be obtained is with a court order.

If you need to print text messages it depends on the kind of cell phone you have. If you have a windows mobile htc cell phone then there is software available that helps you link up the phone to the computer and print it out the messages. You need the correct data cable though. If you're in a rush and need your messages printed for court or something and can't mess around with the evidence, you might try this company below. They do this stuff all the time.

You could try highlighting the text message on the cell phone and email it to yourself. Then open it on your computer and just print it.

Usually, you can't get a printout of the messages themselves (unless you work for law enforcement, in which case you'd already know). However, if you are the account holder, you can find out when messages were sent or received and their destination or origin. Just call your carrier.

Here's a handy list of phone numbers for the major American cell phone carriers:

AT&T Mobility: (800) 888-7600

Alltel: (800) 255-8351

Sprint: 800-777-4681

Verizon Wireless: (800) 922-0204

T-Mobile: (800) 937-8997

No, past messages cannot be looked up unless you have excellent reason and obtain a court order or warrant from your nation's judicial system or another agency that is legally allowed to do so. Even then, you may not be allowed to see the original text messages, as it would be evidence. In many cases, there are not even records of text messages. If you are interested in logging someone else's future messages, this can be done using a special piece of software called a keylogger, which are most commonly used on computers, but may also be applied to cell phones.

I suspected my boyfriend was talking to his ex about more than just the two kids they have together, so I called my cell phone carrier. Even though the cell phones are in my name, I could not retrieve the text messages without a court order.

If the contents of the messages is offensive or bothering to you in anyway, do not delete them. Talk to your service provider and even the police. They may be able to help you.

If you have a smartphone you can take a screenshot and email it to yourself to print, including the number of the person that messaged you.

Depends on the kind of text messages you are referring to. For mobiles you can take a shot of the message. Configure your digital camera to close-up function.
