Most cell phones, well, new ones anyway, have that menu key under the screen (the one in the middle). Go into your cell phone's call directory, then enter the number as you normally would, without the extension. click that menu button and there should (I stress SHOULD) be an option like "insert pause", click that, then enter the local after the pause. hope that helped.
