How do you program my dish remote?

It depends on what you are trying to control with the remote. We have codes that correspond to certain TVs or other components. You can address the remote to work on the receiver. I have provided instructions on how to program the remote but without knowing the brand of TV, I cannot provide the TV codes.

Remotes: Program for (Television Only)

1. Turn the Television On.
2. Press and hold the clear TV button for three seconds until the LED flashes.
3. Enter the three-digit code using the buttons on the number pad.
4. Press #. Note: The LED will flash three times.
5. Test functionality with the TV.
6. Return to Step 2 if the remote is not able to turn the TV On/Off, change the volume and mute the television.

Remote: All Other Remotes

1. Go to System Info screen (depending upon the receiver, press and release the System Info button on the receiver).
2. Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.
3. Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote.
4. Press the pound (#) button.
5. Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record. Note: If successful, the number selected in step 3 will appear in the System Info screen under Remote Address.
