∙ 15y agowe are currently trying to prove the mother of my boyfriends child unfit. she wont allow vistations for the son and the father. she sends texts messages and leaves voicemails, but when it comes the time comes she says "no". for the past year we have had many problems with her. she wont tell us where she is living,or let my boyfriend talk to his son. we have called the cops before on her hoping to take action, only to find out there was nothing we could do. and for about six months she would only call my boyfriend from a blocked number. we she did call it was never about the child it was about her. my main question i guess is " how do you prove a mother is unfit when you dont know her income?, where she is living?, or what the child is around?" ANSWER: My question would be is your boyfriends name on the birth certificate? If it is he is eligible for 50/50 custody whether the girl likes it or not. Unless he gave up parental rights, she can not deny him the right to see his son. If she is doing so, take her to court. The judge is going to (or should) rule that she at least has to grant him a certain schedule of visitation and that is also your chance to voice concerns about mistreatment of the child. I would say that is your best bet is to talk to a lawyer.
