How do you put a background on your iPod touch?

You select your picture you want to use from photos and then you press the little button with a square and arrow in the bottom left hand corner, then select use as wallpaper.
Go to your photos, touch the photo you want, and touch the icon at the bottom far left(looks like a square with an arrow going out of it), then select use as wallpaper, and TADA!! Hope this helps!! :)

First, get the photo onto your iPhone. Whether you take the picture with the iPhone's rear camera, save it from the internet (including your email), or sync it via iTunes, the photo should be in your Photos app.

Once there, go to your Settings app and choose "Brightness and Wallpaper." This is usually one of the uppermost settings, though it may be in a different location depending on your iOS version.

Then, tap on the thumbnail of the photo that is already set as your background (or the image that came with your iPhone). You will then see your Camera Roll (saved or taken pictures) or any albums you have synced from iTunes. Find your selected photo from within either of these, and then tap on it. If you wish, you can move and scale the image. Choose "Set," and choose whether you want it to be your home screen wallpaper or lock screen wallpaper, or both.
