You cannot put pictures in Wordpad or Notepad, because they are not designed to deal with pictures or graphics. Notepad is a text editor, so it can only deal with text. Wordpad is a very simple word processor, that can do more things than Notepad, but it can't have pictures in it. You have to have a full word processor or a desktop publishing package to have pictures.

Open the image file you wish to add to wordpad using a program called Paint.
1. Highlight the image by pressing CTRL+A
2. Copy the image by pressing CTRL+C
3. Return to your wordpad document and paste the image by pressing CTRL+V
you can save a picture to notepad only if , if has ANSII format it means for example,
