How do you download songs onto your ipod nano?

What You Need:

• iTunes
• a cord to connect your iPod to your computer
• music

Start:

• open iTunes
• put your music into your library
  • If you buy it off of iTunes, it should automatically show up in your iTunes library
  • If you have it in mp3 format, drag the files into the iTunes library
  • If you have it on a CD, insert the CD into the disk drive; and import the songs into iTunes
• plug in your iPod using the cord
• click 'synchronize'.
• eject your iPod

Hi, thanks for that-but how will you add music if you have music in your Limewire libary and you have to do something to itunes to add and put the songs inyour ipod-ITS SOOO HARD!

plug your iPod nano in....itunes will detect it and aslong as you have autoupdate on then it'll put all your songs on the iPod, if auto update isn't on then simply drag and drop from itunes to where ur iPod is listed on the left in itunes.

First download iTunes.

Then plug in your ipod nano and open iTunes (this may open automatically if you have the correct setting)

Now you can buy your songs from iTunes and sync them onto your ipod nano. This can be done by searching in iTunes store which can be opened from the left sidebar.

If you do not wish to buy your songs from I Tunes and have your own personal collection of songs do this:

Click 'File' in the top left corner of the window(I Tunes must always be open)

Choose 'Add folder' if you want to add a whole folder of songs. This will open a small window. Here you can choose any folder with songs in it, click on the folder and and click OK. The whole folder of songs will be copied into the library in iTunes (to go to the library and view your songs click music in the left sidebar)

If you only wish to add a song then do this:

Click 'File' again.

Click on 'Add file' or use the shortcut Ctrl+O.

A small window should open. Choose a folder from the drop-down menu at the top of the window. Click on it. If any sub-folders are available they should be shown in the drop-down menu and to open them click on them. Click on the song you want. It should appear in a box named file name in the window. Click open. The song should now be in the iTunes library. It might be in an album so search in all albums if you are not sure of the album name.

Alternatively you could skip a few steps and after clicking 'File' and 'Add file' or using the shortcut Ctrl+O you could use the search box in the window if you know what the file name is. Again click open and the song should be available in the iTunes library.

To actually add the songs to your ipod nano make sure that you have the desired songs click 'File' click 'Sync ipod and the syncing should start. After syncing is complete unplug your ipod and you can now play your songs on your ipod.

You plug in you iPod touch or nano and u must have itunes on a PC or anykind of computer and go on itunestore and buy songs and ten click import later on when it says like eg:bob's iPod" or something just click sync and u will get songs or u can get ur cds

You can add songs on the Ipod Nano by pluging in your charger to the computer,

going in to itunes, making an account, and click music. There should by different

kinds that you can have or you have to buy them. To do so, Search in the search

bars different songs that you want and then add them to your account.

You go to the itunes store and log in than find a song you want to buy and click on it. After you have bought your song/songs exit the itunes store and go to the side of itunes and click on recently added. Plug in your ipod. Than the songs you want on your ipod go to the bar that says your name and ipod (ex. Ellie John's ipod) at the top it will show the song downloading. Do ONE song at a time. I hope this helps :)

You have to plug it into your computer or laptop, and download them from your comp/laptop to the iPod. First you have to make sure you have the right plug. :)
