Answer:
Heat will also cause flowers to oxidize more quickly and lose color. Dry air such as you would find in the dessert or in a room with air conditioning or a dehumidifier will speed up the drying process. Various anhydrous salts will quickly suck the water out of flowers. You can do this by baking Epsom salt at 200 C for a couple hours then burying the flowers in it.
The problem is to find a place where it is toasty warm and very dry. The desert environment is ideal, however since most of us do not have that environment, we need to recreate it.
If you can obtain beach sand, it would be ideal. Matzoh meal might be your solution. It is dry and not oily and would absorb moisture in a dry environment. The reason most people get silica gel is that it will dry without the problems associated with other products. It doesn't stick to the flowers!
You could try "toasting" the blooms in a 1500 oven. Or construct a drying box. Line a large box with aluminum foil, make a hole for a light bulb, and place your flowers inside. Make sure they do not touch, and turn the light on in the box. The bulb will provide a heat source for drying. This might be your best bet for quick drying.
