To gain weight fast? Eat more calories, period. You can eat nothing but McDonalds for a whole month and you'll gain a whole lot of weight. That's horribly unhealthy though, and you'll be a blob of lard at the end. I think you may mean "How do you gain muscle mass fast while not turning into a sack of fat?" Eat fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean sources of protein (skim milk, lean chicken breast, turkey). You don't need an excessive amount of protein, about 1.6 g of protein per kg of muscle mass, (about .75 grams of protein per pound muscle mass). Always consume something healthy (such as a high fiber granola bar) when you're hungry in between meals. Join a gym, and meet with a personal trainer to get an exercise/weight lifting plan that works for you.
Answer: Salty foods. I've gained 5 pounds in ONE DAY by eating canned foods such as soups, spagetti with tomato sauce, and stews. The sodium number is usually about 6 to 10 times higher than the calorie number, so you know it's inexpensive and unhealthy. Example, a 10 ounce=284 ML. can of condensed soup has about 200 calories and about 2,000 sodium. A 14 ounce=400 ML. can of spagetti with tomato sauce has about 350 calories and about 2,000 sodium. If I eat about 4 cans of either food in 1 day, I'll gain about 5 pounds. It's fast, easy, and cheap. It's not healthy though, because my nose swells, which looks ugly, and gets stuffed up, making breathing more difficult. My ankles swell, making them look ugly, old, and feeling stiff. I become tired all the time, which is depressing.
