How do you reborn the berenguer dolls?

Answer:

Answer

Reborn process

HAIR

If the baby has factory molded and painted hair first sand all of the molded hair off for a smooth more realistic look. Full head of Ultra micro rooted high quality mohair. This is a very long process. I spend many hours just on a babies hair alone. I use a very fine felting needle. Makes it feel like real baby hair. The hair can be styled in many different ways just by wetting it with a little water. or use high quality wig.

Eyes

Also hand her upper and lower lashes in the same color to compliment the babies little face. Also hand applied the babies eyebrows which are permanent. Also replaced her factory eyes with more realistic Eyes. I put a tiny dab of gloss varnish in the corners of her eyes for a more realistic "wet eye" appearance.

Skin and blushing details

color with high quality paints (GHSP is paints of choice to a lot of reborn artist.) on the inside after that is dried with high quality oil paints carefully blush in all the sweet baby creases and rolls. This is done in many layers making a very real appearance. Coloring the baby lips to a more realistic color and sealed them with a high quality varnish to prevent chipping. Then gently manicured her tiny baby fingernails and toenails to appear to have that ''just clipped'' baby look. Then seal the baby nails with a non yellowing, non chipping high quality varnish.

Body and head

after the inside of the head is purple washed opened the nose so that she can "breathe" then backed it with felt in the inside of the head to prevent any leakage.

The head, arms and legs is weighted with tiny glass beads so it will be wobbly yet secure. Then seal to prevent leakage. Custom jointed doll body makes the baby very pose able! use polyfill and poly pellets inside the cloth body. Stuffed so that The babyis cuddly yet has the weight of a real baby without being stuffed too full!
