Depending on the type of piercing. If you have oral piercings lip, labret, monroe, madonna, tongue etc. Crushed ice should be used on the site to ease swelling, cold beverages like Slurpies, Freezies will also help. You can take ibuprofen, Advil can be taken to aid in systemic reduction of swelling. Chamomile tea made into Ice cubes will also act nicely to reduce swelling (natural anti inflammatory) .
