How do you reformate your iPod Touch?

There are two ways which may work:

1. Hold down the round button and the skinny button on top of the iPod until the iPod reboots itself

2. Turn the iPod off (if it's frozen). Open iTunes on your computer. Hold down the round button. Plug your iPod in (DO NOT LET GO OF THE ROUND BUTTON). When the little question box on itunes pops up you may let got off the round button then click [okay] on the question box.

i have the same problem, but i have come across a few methods that work for other people(except me). Maybe these will help:

1. You can force reboot your ipod (hold down power and home button for 5 secs) every 5 minutesfor about 45 minutes straight.

2. You can plug you ipod into itunes, force reboot it, and wait wait 15 minutes for the ipod to be recognized.

3. If ythere is an update avaiable, then update it . THis will remove any jailbroken software, but i do not believe it will remove cracked apps or free music as long as it is in the proper library.

Connect your iPod and open iTunes. Select your iPod in the list. Click on the "Restore" button and follow the on screen instructions. This will remove all data from the iPod.
