Download and run firefox to protect your computer from future spyware attacks and pop ups which are coming in through internet explorer (Trojan downloaders, win32 ).Browser attacks aren't easy to spot because they piggyback on legitimate traffic that doesn't exhibit many obvious warning signs
1. Run Deckard's System Scanner (DSS)
2. Run the vundo and combo fix
3. Run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
4. Run the anti spyware removal programs spybot
5 Run Superantispyware
6. Run a complete scan with free curing utility Dr.Web CureIt!
Removing Computer Viruses
The first thing to remember is that if you use the Internet, you need to have an antivirus program. Period. If you don't have antivirus software and update it regularly, you have one or more virii. It's that simple. I have used Norton, McAfee, PCCillin and am currently using Frisk, from www.f-prot.com. The latter is by far my favorite. All of them come with help files telling you what to do if infected, and all of them have support and help available on their websites. There are thousands of virii, so it's not possible to answer your question. Get a good AV program, update it regularly, and learn how to use it and the help and support that you're paying for. If you think I exaggerate about the numbers of virii out there, one day a tech for the place I work at told me that on one really heavy day, our network antivirus program stopped OVER 10,000 of them in one day. Ten thousand, that's not a misprint. Still think you can get by without antivirus?
To get rid of your current virus you can run a utility called a stinger from: http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/ this utility will get rid of major viruses and its a .exe file which means when you open it it'll clean out your computer automatically. its created by mcafee and it update the utility to add more virus definitions each week. simply go to the site a download the file then copy on a floppy disc then bring it to the infected computer then open the file and let it do it's thing.
