: I found a way to fix the Door.. Raise the door and swing the Bottom edge over the track edge and into the room. With the door removed set it horzontal with the Bottom of the Door supported on the edges. You will remove the Bottom of the Door frame by first removing the two Long screws that attach the Bottom to the Two sides of the door. Do not remove the sides from the Glass, Just Loosen and remove the Long Screws. : On one side the Long Philips head screw is Obvious; On the other side it is Hidden in a Hole that may have a Rubber bumper plug. Wiggle the Bottom frame up and down to Loosen it from the rubber gasket along the Bottom of the Glass. : Once you get the Bottom Off the Door you will find at each end a Pair of Rollers in a Cartridge inside the Door frame. There is a single fastening Screw holding the Cartridge in the Bottom frame. Remove the Fastening screws and slide the roller cartridge out. : I found replacement Cartridges at the local BIG Box Hardware store.

∙ 14y agoDepends entirely upon the design but commonly the indoor beads that act to hold the windows in and act as runners, has to be removed (levered off with its nails or retaining screws removed), and then any central beads (between the upper and lower panes), can be popped out of their grooves in the main frame.

Why does Window go down but not up and slides down by itself?
Sounds like window regulator. They are expensive. I would check first to make sure window is in the proper regulator slot.

It sounds as if your window motor is either going out or the window regulator is binding somewhere. I have heard of people putting a good silicone spray along the window track and that sometimes helps. You will have to remove the interior door panel to get access to the window track. It is what the window slides up and down in. (the left and right side of the window.) Good luck.

Yes, you can remove the door panel and manually let the window down. When you do this, be careful not to break the window.

First off you have to remove the door panel and then you will see a few nuts...there is about 3 nuts (10mm) that hold the window slides in place. 1)loosen those bolts and you can tweak the window side to side... 2) loosen the nut on the rubber slide at the top of the slide that guides the window up and down... this will let you adjust how high the window goes up before it stops... just adjust it alittle at a time and check the window,,,Good Luck

I use spray silicone. I spray a little bit along the window track and on the window area that slides in the track. Roll the window up and down several times then wipe off any extra, clean the window and I'm set for several months.
