can some one please help iwant to remove astarter from polaris 425 quad many thanks Hi. If you still need help I recently removed my starter from a 2000 polaris xpedition 425. It's actually quite easy. First remove the seat, then you should be able to pop loose the side panels and remove them. Once you can get in there there should be two bolts holding it to the rest of the engine, and one holding on a positive wire, go ahead and remove those and it should slide out. Mine stuck a bit, but you just have to work with it.
Disconnect the battery. Remove the wires from the starter then unbolt it. Lower the starter, then fit the new one in. Bolt up the starter and connect the wiring. Reconnect the battery.
