Run your dishwasher with jet dry or a dishwasher cleaning product with nothing in it.
The water in your dishwasher must not be getting hot enough to dissolve the powdered detergent.
The white residue is calcium and magnesium(hard water). When heated in the dishwasher it dries and leaves a chalky residue on glassware. There is a new product out that solves this problem once and for all. Its called the dishwasher filtration system and you can get it at www.dishwasherfilter.com.
Cascade says it can be used in cold water.

Cascade dishwashing liquid is a good choice. They also have a product called Cascade rinse aid especially designed to remove spots if you have hard water. Pre rinsing the dishes before washing also might help.
They are a devil to clean, aren't they? The best way I've found to clean one is to put it in the dishwasher, bottom rack, upside-down. This will remove soft foods such as cheese. Fibrous foods such as celery may require a few passes with a brush after it comes out of the dishwasher.
Cascade has a new product out called Cascade Complete Pacs and they are offering a $.50 off coupon. This can be found at http://www.cascadeclean.com/en_US/home.do.
No if it is the dish washing soap for the sink. The liquid dishwasher soap can be used.
To remove sticky residue from leather, take plain dish soap and a wet rag. Add a dab of the soap to the rag and scrub away the residue.
By making use of the abrasive polish, you will be able to remove the polish residue. After the old silver polish residue has been removed, its polishing is very important.
yes but for more effcancy mix it with something else like Cascade it would work better
I think it is the lack of phosphates. I was ready to replace the water softener and the dishwasher-until npr did a story on the detergents. Right now I am trying white vinegar and I guess I will be doing dishes by hand
