If you have added too much salt to a dish you are cooking, put in a slice of bread and leave for twenty minutes, then remove it. The bread absorbs some of the salt.

add some water to the food and while bioling it for a while, stick little balls of brown paper in it
Add pieces of potato to the food while cooking. they will absorb the salt, then remove them.
