Usually the fuel pump "assembly" is the fuel pump itself... o.O
Most fuel pumps are located inside the gas tank... Once you pull it out of the tank, (methods vary by vehicle,) that's the whole thing right there.
First remove the fuel tank then remove the pump assembly locking ring then remove the pump assembly.

Depends on the model year of the car. Generally speaking, most of the newer Corollas have the fuel pump inside the gas tank. To access - you need to remove the rear seats and remove the access cover plate, then remove the entire pump assembly unit. Disassemble the pump assembly to get at the fuel pump.
You have to drop the fuel tank,and the fuel pump is mounted in the top of the tank. Disconnect the wireing harness, and the fuel lines. Turn the ring around the fuel pump assembly with a hammer and screwdriver, and the assembly comes right out.Then you can remove the pump from the assembly and replace it.
remove fuel tank after draining. remove all lines hoses and wires from top of tank. remove fuel pump assembly by turning large plactic nut counterclockwise. disconnect wires inside pump assembly. slide senor and float from fuel pump assembly.
You will have to drop the fuel tank. Remove the pump assembly. The new pump should have instructions for replacing the unit.
The Fuel Filter is built into the Fuel Pump Assembly. The fuel pump is in the fuel tank. Don't panic, remove the rear seat and you can access the fuel pump. Be careful, fuel can explode, at the very least is can make a mess.
The fuel filter is part of the fuel pump. It is servicable, but you have to remove the fuel pump assembly (accessible from under the rear seat).
Remove the fuel tank. Disconnect the fuel hose from the fuel pump to the junction of the carbs. Disconnect the fuel hose from the fuel filter to the fuel tank. Remove the fuel filter bracket. Keep track of the position of the fuel filter. Remove the fuel filter from the rubber holder. Disconnect the fuel pump electrical connector. Remove the fuel pump from its holder bracket A large screwdriver may be necessary to pry pump away from the holder bracket. . Remove fuel pump assembly. Remove remaining hoses from fuel pump. Installation is reverse of removal.
The fuel pump is located in the gas tank. You have to remove the fuel tank from the vehicle. The fuel pump is attached to the fuel gauge float assembly. I am not certain on that particular year but some of the fuel pumps themselves can be removed and replaced and on others you have to replace the entire float/pump assembly.
Remove the fuel tank to access the fuel pump assembly.
Remove fuel tank Remove fuel tank sender and fuel pump assembly usually by removing a locking ring, replace pump using supplied hardware and replacement line. Reverse to install
