you have to drop the fuel tank, remove the hoses after it is lowered a bit. once completely removed open up the sending unit and pull out the fuel pump , replace and re-assemble

Usually the fuel pump "assembly" is the fuel pump itself... o.O Most fuel pumps are located inside the gas tank... Once you pull it out of the tank, (methods vary by vehicle,) that's the whole thing...
