How do you remove moss from outdoor carpet?

I hate to tell you this, but it's best to remove the outdoor carpet, sand down and repaint your patio or deck and then fiberglass it with "grit" in it so you don't slip. My husband builds large yachts and that's what they use on the decks of these boats. We realized we could use this method on our own decks and not only don't you have to keep replacing it or repainting the deck/patio you just need to use a power washer to hose down any moss. You can rent a power washer or buy one. I bought one for my husband for Xmas last year and it cost $295/CDN. Our friends loved it so much he's done 5 homes already. LOL
