Control Enter

Or: Insert: Section break: Next page.

This last method allows you to have different page formatting in the new section (different orientation, different headers/footers, and a whole bunch of other stuff).

Put the cursor just before it and press Delete if it is a manual page break. If it is an automatic one, you may not be able to remove it as there is not enough room for the content on the current page, so it automatically goes onto a new one. To help youcan do things like change the margins, reduce the font size, edit some of the text out.

There are two kind of page breaks. One is a manual page break and the other is an automatic page break. In Normal view an automatic page break shows as a dotted line, and a manual page break as a solid line with the words Page Break in the middle of it.

A page has a limited size, so once you fill the page it will automatically create a page break. You cannot remove an automatic page break. If you only have a small bit of extra text and want to get it onto the same page, there are a few things you can do. You can try reducing the font size of the text. You can widen the margins to give you more working space on a page, by going into the File menu and Page Setup. Do not make them to narrow as the printer may not print it properly if your text is too near the edge of the page. One other thing you could do is to read back through your text and see can you edit it down a bit so it means the same but with less words.

If it is a manual page break, then you'll have put it in with Insert menu or by having pressed the Ctrl and the Return key. To remove it put the cursor just before it, and press the delete key, or just after it and press the backspace key.

You can save your Microsoft works document in "saved as" to be a Microsoft word document.
