Fortunately these can be removed from the top rather than having to take out the entire dashboard. They are held in place by four plastic flat shafts along the side that have slight lips that lock under the dashboard. You need to have a short flat headed screwdriver or some other type of short flat thin blade since these are so close under the front windshield. Simply ply the lip of the speaker guard as if you were popping the top off a paint can. You might want to gently try a few different spots and then when one side pops just do the same to the other side or simply manuever it out with your hand after you pop out one side. Mitsubishi also made it easy to remove the speaker with a snap wiring connector assembly about 2 inches up the wiring from the speaker. Good luck. Fusul@aol.com

If its a Mitsubishi made eclipse then the ecu is right beside the tcu behind your radio. the tcu in the Mitsubishi made car is to the right on the pasengers side.

Answer If I'm not mistaking the dash board speakers on your car are under the dash, close to the windshield. I think you would have to remove the entire dash to be able to get at them so do yourself a favor, put good speakers in when you install them, as taking the dash apart is one heck of a job.
You need an audio board and some speakers.
