IT IS MOUNTED BY RIVETS. YOU MUST DRILL THEM OUT

Remove the 1997 Chevrolet Suburban drivers side door panel. The window mechanism will be visible. Place the new window into the window track. Secure the window to the track.
Remove the door panel. Remove the bolt that fastens the regulator to the window. Remove the 3 bolts that hold the regulator assembly to the door. Squeeze the entire assembly through the largest hole and replace with a new assembly in reverse order.
Anyway, the part# from napaonline.com is BK 6653601 for the drivers side (BK 6653602 for the passenger side). Remove the door panel, time consuming but not too hard. Loosen the three 10mm bolts holding the motor in, remove the power connector. Lower the window so that the two bolts holding it to the regulator are exposed, remove them. Push the window to the top, propping it at this position (a screwdriver through the access hole at the top left will prop on top of the exterior door handle keeping the window in place. Remove the three 10mm bolts holding the regulator in place. 'Corkscrew' the regulator and motor out of the BIG hole at the back of the door. Installation is the reverse of assembly. EASY!
u have to remove the drivers window and remove the regulator assy...once its out there ar 4 rivits u have to drill out be very carefull of th spring in the regulator it will come out and injure u if u don't take the proper precautions
You will need to remove the door panel and see if the motor and/or the regulator is bad.
1 open door 2 remove inner panel 3 lower window 4 take out window 5 remove (4) screws from regulator 6 take regulator of rails
It is best to replace entire regulator as one unit. Remove door panel. Remove bottom nut of regulator, and remove two top nuts of regulator. Loosen two bolts on bracket holding window. Support window, and carefully remove regulator as one unit.
remove your door panel there will be three screws holding it on. then you have to remove the screws holding your window to the regulator. then unbolt regulator and motor from door. Undo wiring going to motor.
