Your in for a treat. I did mine took 2 hours. You have to take the grill off. There are screws behind the bumper and the lights are real fun to get out, I used needle nose pliers to compress the plug that holds them in,you have to take the battery out and on the drivers side you nedd to acces the clamps throuch the little acces holes. Its not fun. They may sell a special tool but i never found one. First remove the center grill to access the bolts. My center grill had five screws (four on top and one in lower center). Unplug the headlamp and turn signal bulb but do not worry about the bumper lights yet, as you will see how hard it is to access them from behind right now. Next you have to take the frames around the headlight off. I had two screws on top like the ones for the grill and two nuts removed from the rear. (look at where the socket for the turn signal lamp plugs in. The cutouts in the frame are to the left and right of the socket.) I did not have to remove my battery to get to these but I was using a omni directional extension on my ratchet. When done the frame around the headlight will come off and you should have enough cord on your bumper lights to pull it away and unplug them. (This is also the way I suggest you plug them back in when reinstalling.) I want to say that there were eight bolts holding in the frame the headlamps were attached to, four around each light. This frame holds both lights and you may be able to get to the clips that hold the lights in while the frame is in place. But, it is not that hard to remove and made the job of installing the clips so much easier for me. Headlights are held in by three slip on clips that have wings to keep the nut from spinning when adjusting the lights. Open the clips gently with a pair of snap ring pliers or needle nose and slide it up and off. Reverse process to reinstall. Just remember to adjust lights direction before putting frame around headlight. I hope this helps the next guy.

How do you change the low beam headlight on a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer?

The bulb can be removed from the rear of the headlight assembly. Remove the boot first then twist the bulb to unlock it. If you cannot access the bulb you can remove the headlight assembly from the truck by pulling up the tabs on the two clips that hold it in place. One on the top corner near the midline of the truck and one on the side of the assembly. You may have to pop the grill out to allow easy access. www.trailvoy.com all the answers for your Trailblazer from enthusiasts.

How do you change a blinker bulb on 2005 dodge ram truck?

You have to remove the front headlight assembly for this. There are 3 screws (which you'll need a socket and extension for) Not sure of what size they are, but you can find that out pretty easily. Pop the hood, and see where the assembly is attached to the truck. remove the plastic pins holding the rubber sealing piece on. now remove the screws, and pull the headlight straight out. Its still somewhat held on by some guiding clips. unscrew the bulb connections from the the headlight, replace bulb. Test the bulb before you put the headlight back in. Its a real pain to do the whole process over when you realize the bulb you replaced it with doesn't work either.

How do you replace a 2003 Ford Explorer low beam headlight bulb?

On the top of each headlight assembly, you will see two small semi-circular tabs. Pull these tabs upwards - you may have to use a wrench or screwdriver to put some force into it, as they tend to get stuck with road salt and grime. Once they move upwards, about 3/4 inch or so, the headlight assembly will release. You can then pull the headlight assembly forward and out of the truck. It will be attached only by the wires. Rotate the lightbulb assembly counter clockwise, and the bulb will come out. Replace the bulb, put it back into the headlight assembly, and rotate it clockwise to lock it in. Replace the headlight assembly, making sure the three screw/nuts are in the locking tabs correctly. While pushing the headlight assembly inwards, press the two locking tabs back down. This will lock the headlight assembly back into the truck, and realign the headlight, so that it does not have to be aimed again.

How do I replace the truck headlights?

Truck headlights can be found at your local auto supply store. Unscrew the cover for the old headlight, remove it and then remove the old headlight. You will need a screwdriver and possibly a wrench for this. Next, replace the broken headlight with the new one, and replace the headlight cover. Lastly, check to make sure the new headlight works.
