Heat gun, or a hair dryer set on high
heat the caulk, to soften it, peel it off,
Yes you can, but it is a cleaner job if you remove the old caulking (as much as you can) and reseal it with new caulk.
You can use 3m's caulk remover and a sharp razor blade.
pull it out
Not the greatest idea, when packing in the oakum and then pouring the lead and caulking it the hub could split wide open Your new caulking job will last longer if you remove the old caulk and any of its debris and make sure the area is dry before adding new caulk. You can use an old screwdriver to remove the old.
a screw driver and hammer-be careful not to scratch the tile or a chisel or putty knife and a hammer- test it out and see what works best for you- you can also just remove half of it and re caulk to make it look clean
Without breaking it, remove the vertical stop-trim on the old window. Then remove the top and bottom sashes and the wooden strip between them. Place some fiberglass insulation on the windowsill, place the edge of the new window on the insulation, and insert the window, top-first. Use long mounting screws to secure the new window, then replace the old stop-trim. Finally, cover the seam with caulk.
Have to remove the door panel screws, then remove speaker, drop the cables off the window motor (maybe), drill out the rivets that secure the regulator at bottom and remove two bolts at the top of regulator. push window all way up remove glass from regulator, I used a screwdriver but am sure there must be an easier way to remove the caulk that hold window to regulator. then dats about it..if you need to replace motor same thing drill out the rivets and pull out from right side of door...have fun that project sucked for me..LOL
Use an exterior window caulk. If you plan to paint over it make sure it is "paintable" caulk. Run the bead of caulk using a caulking gun. You can smooth out the bead with your finger and clean up any residual caulk with a wet rag (this clean uo only works if the caulk is water based...check the tube to make sure it is....it's easier if it is) If you use silicone caulk you can't paint it and you cannot clean up any errors with a wet rag so unless you are real exact in applying the bead I would avoid this type of caulk.
Remove inside door handle and window crank handle, remove inside door panel, remove vent window and channel assembly, remove window.
Remove the inside door panel of your 1982 Chevy Corvette. Remove the window retaining clips. The window will lift out.
simple to do it the cheap way you go to a junk yard find a 97 Toyota pay for the back window (they usually take it off for free) u take it slide it in the back and take a caulk gun and run down the sides and top and bottom then u scrape off the exes caulk and let it dry
Caulk.
