How do you repair a torn knee on a pair of jeans?

In: Sewing

Patching up those jeans

It really depends on the size of the tear. There are patches made out of denim which may be ironed on that are easily found. You could also make your own cute patch out of a favorite fabric, back it with heat and bond "light", iron it on the outside of the jeans then sew around the edges with regular thread or a decrative thread. If you use the regular heat and bond or extra hold, you will not need to sew the edges as it is strong enough to stay in place without stitching, plus the needle will gum up if you try to sew through it. Use your imagination and have fun. Swimmer
