Your PCV valve is located on the valve cover. It should consist of a grommet on top of your valve cover. The PCV sits on top of the valve cover and the top portion has a rubber hose which leads away from it. Remove the rubber hose from the top of the PCV valve and then remove the PCV valve itself. Replace the new one the same way as you took the old one off. it is behind the intake manifold, PITA! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
== == You can access to the PCV value by either removing power steering and the PCV value breather, or by removing the Intake Manifold Air Control. I did the latter.
1) Remove the oil filter, no need to drain the oil, but you will lose a little bit.
2) Remove the oil filter base. Four bolts. A flex head ratchet works best.
3) Remove the IMAC, just four 10 mm bolts. Besides the socket, you'd better has a 1/4 ratchet, and a wobble extension bar to remove the upper 2 bolts from the hood area. Then you can remove the two lower ones from below.
4) Disconnect the two small hoses and one big hose. Keep in mind, the two small hoses are filled with coolant. So wear a safety glass and find two clips to stop the coolant when the hoses are off.
5) After all the pain in the ass, now you finally can access the PCV value. A subby ratcheting 19 mm wrench works best here for the PCV value.
Installation is the reverse. Mine still rattles well after 160 K, although it is kind of oily dirty inside.
Very hard to replace for a "do it yourself project". Hard to reach and plan at least 4 - 6 hours to replace a $1.50 part. Cost at the dealership was $175.00 labor to replace the PCV valve. However, the car does run much better.
I had the same question. Seems it does not have a PCV valve.
pcv valve on nissan altima 2005

There isn't one.
Pull upward on the hose that the PCV valve is in. The PCV valve will pull out of the hose. The PCV valve is located in the valve cover.
The PCV valve has a check ball in it, That's what you are hearing. REPLACE PCV VALVE

== Answer The PCV valve on a 1993 Nissan Altima is located under the intake manifold just above the oil filter. You have easier access if the oil filter is removed. Not so easy...
the pcv valve on altima 98 it is located on the passenger side, right next to the idle valve u have to take the oil filter out, the idle valve, but still difficult to acces it takes at least 3 hours that's how long i spent doing it
You can find the PCV valve, on the outside of the air cleaner housing. The PCV valve will be attached to the back of the housing.
