Passenger side headlight bulb on a 2000 Passat. Remove the air induction housing and the bulb can be accessed quite easily. No need for any special tools. Driver sice Remove the black rubber cap on the back of the assembly, open clip (metal clip, no tool necessary) and access the bulb for replacement. All VW headlights are assembly the same way. good luck!
To replace the high-beam headlight bulb on a Volkswagen Golf, first the back cover of the headlight compartment must be removed. This allows access to clips that hold the bulbs in place; from there, the bulbs can be changed.
It's not that easy ! front bumper ( inlaid wraparound bump strip ) must come off. Start at one fender side marker light and work your way around to the other side, carefully prying off strip. It is held in only with snap-in feature, no screws. Then under each headlight assembly, through small holes in the bumper's internal styrofoam, with a good flashlight you must find two #20 torx/ 8 mm hex screw heads that secure the lower end of headlight to the car. A long 1/4" drive wobble extension is necessary with the correct socket to get on them. Some prying , crushing,or cutting of the foam may be needed to see/get on them. Once removed, the two same screws holding the top of the light can easily be accessed/removed from under the hood on the top radiator support, can't miss them. Remove two screws holding on the grill between the lights, dont remove the grill, this will allow you to carefully bend the ends of the grill out in order to fish the lights out of their position. Remove electrical connector and fish out light assembly, still not that easy, I needed to push down on the bumper cover to clear the lower tabs, then I was home free. Installation is exact opposite. Allow a good 2 hours and some patience. The end result was worth it. The new crystal clear lights that replaced the old hazed, chipped and yellowed ones makes my 02 Golf tdi look 10 years younger. I tried using the headlight polishing kits out there but they don't make a dent. Perhaps a good plexi-polish as a routine will preserve the new ones. Good luck and happy fishing!
The headlight bulbs on a 1992 VW Golf are replaced by pulling the wiring harness on the rear of the bulb and twisting the bulb. The bulb can then be removed and a new bulb locked into place.
replace the bulb. the high beam filament is burned out.
replace the high beam bulb
Low beam bulb is burnt out. Replace it.
Passenger side or driver side? BClear. The low beam is built into the same bulb as the high beam. Just pull the bulb out from behind the housing under the hood and replace it. If the low beam doesnt work you have to replace the whole bulb. They're not very expensive.
The Low Beam AND High Beam are in the same bulb. The procedure to change it will be in the owners manual.
The filaments inside bulbs are different wattages. It is best to replace the dead bulb.
The headlight has two filaments. One for the high beam and one for the low beam. The most likely reason the high beam is out is because the high beam filament is broken. Replace the bulb and it should fix it.
Yes, the 2003 Hyundai Accent takes a dual-beam headlight lamp for low beam and high beam. See sources and related links below for bulb information.
