How do you replace a headlight bulb? |
[Edit] |
Answer
The ZX2 has a cover on the rear of the headlamp assembly. It is about 3.5 inches accross and is round. Turn this counter-clockwise and remove. Inside you will see the rear of the bulb with the wiring harnass attached. unplug the wire bundle. Now turn the bulb retaining ring counter-clockwise and remove. Wiggle the bulb untill the O-ring releases and remove bulb. Install new bulb (be sure not to touch the glass AT ALL!) and reverse the above instructions.
Answer
On my ford aerostar I coudnt reach the bulb from behind so I had to remove the housing to get to the bulb. First the crome frame and then the headlight case. In the center of the headlight case is the bulb housing. There is a clip that has a tab and you lift it up and pull out. There is the bulb.
Answer
Your average cars headlights can be reached by popping the hood. Once the hood is popped you can look down between the radiator and front clip and there is a white or yellow plug that you twist and it will pull out exposing the bulb. All you have to do now is replace the bulb and plug it back in.
