How do you replace a heat core on a 1999 Kia Sephia?

[Edit]

Answer

Disconnect battery (both positive and negative). Drain coolant. Remove heater hoses from firewall. Remove center console (gear shift lever in rear position). Remove front instrument panel trim. Remove lower panel trim (both passenger and driver sides). Remove glove box. Remove Passenger air bag. Remove radio and tray as unit. Remove climate control assy. Remove instrument cluster. Remove steering column bolts (2) and lower steering column to floor. Remove instrument panel with all ducting (several bolts on either side near doors after removing small trim pieces for access). Loosen AC evaporator unit. Remove heater unit (about 4 nuts). Remove heater core from heater unit. Reassenble in reverse. Good luck.
