Note how thermostat is installed
Clean both surfaces
Replace thermostat and gasket
Re-fill coolant slowly to prevent an airlock
Start engine and look for leaks
Run engine to normal operating temperature with heater onm

Almost all thermostats are located at the motor where the top radiator hose connects to the motor. Drain the coolant, remove the 2 bolts in the thermostat housing, replace the thermostat, and replace the housing and refill the radiator.

Drain the water from your radiator. Remove the radiator hose, from the thermostat housing. Remove the thermostat housing retaining bolts. Replace the thermostat housing gasket and reverse the process to install the new thermostat.
The thermostat is located in the water pump behind the timing belt plate cover. the thermostat is in the bottom rad hoase where it conects to the motor.

On the radiator you have a top hose and a bottom hose. Look at the bottom hose and follow it to where it attaches to the block. Unscrew the two bolts. There is the thermostat.
On a 1993 Toyota Camry Vienta, the thermostat can be easily located by following the lower radiator hose to the point where it attaches to the engine. When replacing the thermostat, always replace gaskets as well.
ok you look on the front of the block....take the thermostat cover off..then take the old one out and put the new one in and put the cover back on.....
